The action genre film was about terrorist in a school who have planted a bomb an there is only a matter of time before it blows in the film we have mostly boy as it is more appealing to the male sexes. The music is mostly beats and sets the mood of the films genre. The location of the filming was great as the whole story of the film was based in a school so we had all the appropriate facilities. Making the film production much better and easy to film. The language used in the film was good for the target audience, and the filming looked realistic and clever for the genre it was not far fetched and had no wrong features in.
Technical issues
Our film had a good camera shot of the terrorists and bad ones of the people running down the stairs. The music is well sounded and at the right loudness also the voice over is also very good as they are not so loud but are very clear. Yes we did we cut of some people screaming as it was not for the genre.
The camerawork went well and look good the filming didn’t look as if it was just a video recording it look real also we made different establishing shots such as close ups and medium close up and long shots. The only thing that went wrong was with it being in a school there was no areas where they were no people around so we had to stop and start while people walked past.
We had a lot of verity to keep the audience interested as we did not just film in one location and was interesting to watch with good voice over’s and effects. We used microphones to do are voice over’s because we thought that just using the video cam then it would not sound as good and found using the microphone easier.
The typical of the genre was the music bed, also the transactions, the voice over’s also editing these make the genre an action thriller. Well some films have voice over to set a genre giving a theme. Also camera angles such as close up and long shots. We did use a hero which as Kyle who was the person looking for the bomb also we had two villains who was terrorists.
The film has a multi stand, as it is about 2 stories a man who is trying to save the school and the people who are trying to blow it to bits.
Doing this product I have learnt more such as filming Editing and voice over’s these have come in use to the filming product, which we have made and are good skills. I think that I did quite well as I played my part and learnt a lot while doing so I found a lot of the filming easy and some editing and the voice over’s but my weaknesses would have been adding effects to the video but in the end I did good I think.
I was good as a team member as I was mostly filming so I had to place and tell people where to stand and what to do so I was kind of the manager. I think I played part in both I argued back sometimes as I new I was right about it but then sometimes I new that I had to listen and see there point of view of the production.
AUDIENCE: the sound track that I had use connotes danger, and is appropriate for the genre of the trailer. Also a good use of low angle shots of people running down the stairs helps create a panic atmosphere.
Good long shots of trapped people.
CHANGES: maybe voice over’s could have been more deep voice, plus words on black screen could be red to connote danger.
